Sarah is the Producer/Host of “Humanist Trek”, a Star Trek podcast about the humanism in Star Trek. Each week Sarah & Co-Host Allie Ashmead review an episode of Star Trek and discuss the humanist themes and big questions.
Sarah joined the Humanist Society Board of Directors in September 2020 and is currently serving as Board President. The Humanist Society endorses the “clergy” of humanism. Humanist Celebrants preside over life-cycle ceremonies like weddings, baby namings, and memorials and love helping you create personal, meaningful ceremonies. Humanist Chaplains represent humanism in colleges, hospitals, prisons, etc.
Sarah has provided several secular invocations before local governing bodies and community events. While believing invocations to be unnecessary altogether, if secular voices are not included, then all invocations would be specifically Christian and not representative of the diversity of constituencies.
